It's Time to Make our Voices Heard!

Peeden 2020 is a campaign that brings Moreno Valley parents, teachers and students together to champion the needs of our community. Together, we can solve the pressing issues that impact our students and educators.

Darrell Peeden is the incumbent for the Moreno Valley Unified School District Board of Trustees, representing Area 5. In May 2019, Darrell Peeden was elected to the Moreno Valley Board of Education in a special election. He is now seeking re-election to continue the important work of equity and justice for Moreno Valley students.

We’re the only campaign running the right way: no corrupt political machines, corporate PACs, and no corporate special interest money. We put all our faith and effort into everyday people, families, and communities.

Our children in Moreno Valley deserve to attend the best public schools in California. Together, we can accomplish this and much more...

Why Support Darrell?

Every child in Moreno Valley should be afforded the opportunity to succeed and thrive. Together, we can achieve this!"

Darrell Peeden is a husband, father, academic scholar, social entrepreneur, and community activist. He was born and raised in the Inland Empire and has been a proud resident of Moreno Valley for over a decade. His daughters attend Sugar Hill Elementary because he believes in Moreno Valley schools. He is running for re-election to the Moreno Valley Unified School District Board of Education because he is committed to facilitating and protecting the high-quality public education that our students and families deserve.

Darrell is a product of public education and understands the struggles both students and educators face. After growing up in poverty in a single parent household, Darrell dedicated his life to helping young people find their voice and succeed by breaking down the barriers of social and economic injustice through a non-profit he co-founded 20 years ago.

In his career, Darrell has contributed to building a non-profit whose mission is to break the cycle of poverty through mentoring, education and community organizing. His work has led to thousands of young men and women being mentored and given the opportunity to succeed. His ability to navigate through adversity, and his dedication to serve others contributes to his understanding of the struggle’s families and students of Moreno Valley face.

Darrell understands these issues and has the public policy background to achieve solutions to these problems. Darrell Peeden holds his master’s degree in public policy from the School of Public Policy at the University of California, Riverside, where he was an Abraham Rice Scholar. He also graduated from the University of California, Riverside with a bachelor’s degree in public policy.
